EA Sports revealed information in a blog post about the new One to Watch (OTW) cards that will be added for the first time in FIFA 21. The One to Watch cards are focused on highlighting the skills of players who have changed teams this season and whose signing has generated excitement among fans. The cards will have the same ratings as the normal cards at the beginning, but these will be updated according to the performance of the players in real life, similar to what happens in Season mode with the squad updates that are also applicable in the ‘Play Now ‘ matches. The first OTW cards to be confirmed by EA were Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Gareth Bale, three new additions to the Premier League who caused a stir in this transfer market. However, today three other OTW cards have been confirmed for FIFA Ultimate Team: Martin Odegaard, new reinforcement of Real Madrid; ThiagoAlcántara, Liverpool’s new reinforcement and AchrafHakimi, Inter’s new player. The arrival of these players has been important for their respective teams. In the case of Odegaard, this is the final test of the Norwegian player, signed by Real Madrid when he was only 16 years old and now has the possibility of showing all his quality in the Spanish capital. Likewise, ThiagoAlcántara arrives at Liverpool after commanding Bayern Munich in the last UEFA Champions League, while Hakimi arrives at Inter after two successful seasons at Borussia Dortmund in Germany, being considered a very promising right-back. The first set of OTW cards (Werner, Ziyech and Bale) will be available from October 9, while the second set (Odegaard, Thiago and Hakimi) will be added to FUT on October 16. The developers clarified that OTW cards will be very important in FIFA Ultimate Team this year, since the way to improve the cards will be modified and these will help to increase the attributes more easily to selected players. After October 21, OTW cards from both groups of players will be able to come out in packs. FIFA 21 will hit the stores on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Switch on October 9.
